Public Readings - Wiz Khalifa And Amber Rose Confirm Pregnancy At VMAs. Wiz Khalifa and his bride-to-be Amber Rose are writing one heck of a love story right before our eyes.
On Thursday (September 6), the famed hip-hop duo took to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards to announce that they are expecting their very first child come. In contrast to their comfy but casual white attire at last year's ceremony, Khalifa and Rose were sleek and sexy in black as they shared the big news with Sway.
"Well, Sway, you know you my brother man, so we had to do it with you first and we had to do it with the whole world, and just let everybody know that we're expecting a beautiful young baby," Khalifa said, before screaming, "We're having a baby!"
After Wiz planted a kiss on Rose's baby bump, which was accented in a see-through dress, Sway congratsulated the couple and was met by surprise when the rapper joked with the host about throwing bars with the new born.
"You going to have to teach him how to rap and be a real good MC," he said, revealing his hopes for a baby boy.
Interestingly enough, while walking the VMA carpet last year, the Taylor Gang captain and his boo spoke to us about getting married and eventually having children.
"We discuss it all the time; like he said, we're very much in love," Amber told us then. "But, ya know, we're just going to take our time and just enjoy each other right now. We're both really busy and we work really hard and when the time comes, it's gonna come."
"It's gonna happen," Wiz added. "My baby knows I love her. I'm committed and she's committed, so we're just gonna make it happen."
A few weeks after we spoke to them last September, rumors of an engagement between the couple began to spread after Khalifa, Amber and their crew hit Las Vegas to celebrate the rapper's birthday. It all seemed innocent enough, but when pictures of the rapper in a tux and his girl in a white gown hit the Net, many assumed that the couple had tied the knot, but they hadn't.
Amber continued to gush about her beau when she appeared solo on an unforgettable episode of "RapFix Live" in January. The stately model went through a range of emotions as she cried on camera after revealing to MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway that she was often bullied in public by fans of her ex-man Kanye West. However, Rose lit up when the topic of Wiz came up.
"When we met, we fell in love and then he moved to L.A. and he wound up moving in my building and we just started our life like that together,"she said. "It's good, we're not married yet, and it's good that we still have our separate places. I have a lot of clothes, so my clothes are not going to fit in his condo at all."
Two months after that interview, Wiz went ahead and put a rock on Rose's finger. He shared the moment with the world when he tweeted, "She Said Yes!!!" along with a picture of Amber sporting an oval-cut diamond ring.
"He made me the Happiest Woman in the World!!!!" Rose added with her own Twitter message. "We Love all u Rosebuds, Rosestuds & Taylors so much!"
The engagement didn't stop the rumors however. At the top of August theRolling Papers MC addressed rumors that his fiancée was with child during a Philadelphia radio interview. "She will have my baby in life, and you guys will know when she's pregnant. But it's not the time now for people to start going crazy," he said.
Despite trying to shoot reports down, unconfirmed news of Amber's pregnancy continued to swirl. On Friday, she was photographed in West Hollywood sporting a baby bump.
Now that the duo have announced their pending parenthood, it's only that expected that the Forbes' cash king and fiancé take some much needed down time to focus on the arrival of the latest hip-hop youngster.
