Public Readings - Morgan Freeman is alive, did not narrate '50 Shades of Grey' video

Public Readings - Morgan Freeman is alive, did not narrate '50 Shades of Grey' video. Don’t let the rumors fool you, Morgan Freeman is alive and well, and definitely not narrating 50 Shades of Grey.

Freeman’s always been a popular candidate on the fake death ticket, and with Twitter and Facebook accounts claiming the actor has passed, the news ran rampant on the internet.

His rep confirmed with E! News that Freeman is alive stating, "Morgan is alive and well, and joins the long list of actors who have been victimized by this hoax.”

One of the Facebook pages publicizing The Bucket List star’s death actually admitted to being a hoax if you read closely enough. The page’s about sections simply reads, “He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the internet.”

E! News reported that this wasn’t Freeman’s first rumored death.

A fake retweet sent fans into a panic thinking the beloved actor and director had passed two years ago.

According to E! News, the tweet read, “RT @CNN: Breaking News: actor Morgan Freeman has passed away in his Burbank home<< wow legendary actor #RIPmorganfreeman.”

The tweet was removed from Twitter shortly after news that Freeman was still alive surfaced.

As for the 50 Shades of Grey rumors? The voice narrating the romance novel video actually belongs to Josh Robert Thompson, an actor and comedian known for impersonating Matthew McConaughey, Robert DeNiro and Morgan Freeman.
