Comedian Eddie Murphy was honored for his lifetime career accomplishments on Spike TV in a tribute titled "Eddie Murphy: One Night Only" that aired on Nov. 14. But, despite the ample accolades, it was not his success that had all the tongues wagging in Hollywood social circles. Everyone was too busy asking who the leggy blonde was that he fawned over whenever the cameras panned to him sitting in the audience and he was so snugged up to when they posed for pics on the red carpet.
Murphy, the world-famous American stand-up comedian, is known for being an actor, writer, singer, director, and musician. His box-office takes from Murphy's films make him the second-highest grossing actor in the United States report celebrity gossip sources. Fans loved his stand up comedy routines in movies like "Delirious", his SNL characters like Buckwheat, and movies like "48 Hours", "Beverly Hills Cop", and more recently Disney's "Haunted Mansion".
He's fathered children with multiple women over the course of his life and gone through several high-profile divorces from beautiful African-American women. He was previously married to Nicole Mitchell Murphy (m. 1993–2006). He went through a publicity scandal when he told the press he was not sure if he was the father of his girlfriend Scary Spice (Mel. B) and demanded a paternity test. He also married Tracey Edmonds back in 2008 but they broke up only two weeks after the symbolic (translation = non-legally binding) wedding ceremony.
His new girlfriend has only been in the picture for two months, but Murphy is clearly enchanted and is gladly using her for press ops. The Australian model's name is Paige Butcher. She's famous primarily for dating handsome and affluent black men. On her list of bedpost notches are Russell Simmons and model Tyson Beckford.
